Someone has complained that the above picture makes Maggie look as if she's "not pregnant." I can assure you, that she is. At the moment, she's 33 weeks into #2.
Speaking of #2, Franklin put a Baskin Robbins 31 sticker on his mom's belly yesterday and said "mei-mei" which I'm sure we all know is Chinese for little sister. Frank can count to ten in English and Chinese, goes through the English alphabet with dad every night before bed, and helps out with carrying the groceries. All of our neighbors think that he's the most polite child they've ever encountered. (Snide comment deleted)
The weather is just starting to turn autumnal here. Right now, the thermometer reads 21C/70F. It's quite nice, actually. But today was his first day back in long pants. He looks every bit like a little person now. The side of the refrigerator indicates that he's grown another 2cm this month and he's taller than most kids that are 6 months older than he is.
What else have we been doing? Well, he can point out most of the zoo animals in his picture books and he knows the difference between T. Rex, Velociraptor, and Oviraptor at the science museum, where he still leads our Sunday morning Church service. There's a new exhibit now called "A T.Rex Named Sue" on loan from the Field Museum in Chicago. We'll be checking that out as soon as the lines shorten a little bit.
Time to hit the sack.
